The past few months have been quite busy, including several weddings and the purchase of our next “house”! (more on that later) This past weekend I had the great privilege of photographing Liz and Tim, a very sweet (and stylish) couple who quite obviously love life and each other.

Meet Arin and Brett.  They are in love.  And everybody knows it.

What a joy it was to photograph Brett and Arin’s wedding!  They just beamed happiness the whole day and made everybody happy to be around them.  Congrats you two!

Once upon a time (this past weekend) there was a charming couple that decided to get married and do it with style.

The bride had her fairytale dress and glass slippers, disguised as adorable black peep-toe heels.

In her hair she wore a white feather piece that caused all who saw her to swoon.

The bridesmaids had pink peony bouquets and the groomsmen had pink ranunculus boutonnieres.

The reception was decorated in classy black and white with hints of pink.

Everything smacked of Gatsby-esque style, down to the black satin-draped cocktail tables and glassy pink drinks.

Laughter floated on the air as guests dined and toasts were given.

To add to the charm of the evening, a live band crooned as the newlyweds floated across the dance floor, surrounded by admiring friends and family.

The day was a complete success thanks to the couple’s impeccable taste, and they (and their wedding photographer) lived happily ever after.

The End

Popsicles by Lake Michigan

Despite howling winds, pelting rain and less-than-pleasant temperatures, Mark and Kendra braved the elements for their “save-the-date” photoshoot in Michigan this past weekend.  Poor Kendra had popsicle feet, but they were great sports about it and I think we got some winners!

Although I haven’t been shooting weddings during the long winter months, I have been pretty busy with the camera.   Here are a few of the fun side projects that hadn’t made their way onto the blog yet!

To Fold or Not To Fold

•March 13, 2011 • Leave a Comment

With wedding season just around the corner, many of you have started thinking about or putting together wedding invitations.  If you are a “do-it-yourself” kinda girl, you will find yourself cutting a folding hundreds of, well, just about everything during the next couple of months.  Place cards, table numbers, programs and stationary will all find its way into your hands in duplicate, so get some of your girls together and make a party of it!  Nobody likes to fold alone!  If you haven’t gotten that far, here are some clever and eye-catching ideas from Akimbo to get you started!  If you are not the crafty sort, the “already done” kind are for sale too.

Other neat wedding finds include this hand-felted wedding wrap and these beautiful (and inexpensive) modern bridal headpieces from Etsy.

See you in a few months!
